ABOUT FLEN
FLEN is an experimental chordless jazz group consisting of young jazz musicians with origins in both Sweden and Denmark. They met in Stockholm in 2021 and have since then recorded two albums, and played concerts regularly in Scandinavia.
In 2023 they released their first full-length album “Välkommen till”, which delves deeper into the many paths of chordless jazz. The album consists of original compositions by the group’s members, and features the legendary Swedish saxophonist Per ‘Texas’ Johansson, who has contributed as both a musician and composer.

Since the release of their second album they have expanded their repertoire with new and more daring compositions, while continuing to strive for new and different ways of navigating both their own compositions and songs from other parts of music history.
In the summer of 2024 they played at jazz festivals in Spain and Scandinavia, and won the second prize at Getxo Jazz Competition. In the autumn of 2024 FLEN did a tour of Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Latvia.
They are currently working on their second album which will be released in the second half of 2025.
